    i'm learning so much here that i never even knew to try and find out! so there's a difference between the brown poop and the white things? i always thought they were just poop... only white? will someone please explain this to me?

    well,whenpeople pass urates,its liquid,but for some reason,snakes pass solid urates.

    Am I right?

    the urates are a concentrated form of uric acid excreted from the body. liquid remnants are passed along with them. perfectly normal for a reptile.

    Such lovely talk here.

    I think of it kinda like bird poop. There's the brownish solid part and the white gooey part. I guess birds and reptiles aren't so far off after all.

    that's cool, i always thought the white stuff was just more poop, but like from a different part of the mouse or something.

    When i first got my snake i though it was the bones of the rodent,esp when you would try to take it out and sometimes it would crunch to form a powder.

    Sheesh.....i also used to think that snakes spit up the bones of the prey too.......thats becuase i went to this HORRIBLE pet store where the mice had been in there so long they had been starved and died in the cage, and all that was left of them was this little heap of bones and fur.

    Never went back there, im pretty sure it got shut down a couple months ago.
