So I finally broke down after a week of trying to get the baby food and cgd thing going to no avail. But, tonight I put some little crickets in there and they pounced on those things in a second. I saw each of them eat at least 4-5. I may have put too many in there, because there were more than I thought in the tube. Do I need to remove the extra or can I leave them in there? Will it be harmful to the cresties?

Its best not to leave extra food items loose in the cage they can chew on your cresteds but mostly its is just irritateing and stressfull to them

alright, so I removed most of them, but there are still about 5 or 6 over in the corner that I can't get out. Will that be really bad? I'm going to clean the cage tomorrow and didn't want to take the cresties out right after they had eaten. The crickets seem to be staying pretty confined to that one corner...

The crickets will seek something moist to nibble on, like gecko eyes. If the crickets eat their feces and then in turn are eaten, it can potentially make them sick

I don't feed my crested geckos crickets, but when I put crickets in my water dragon's tank, I always sprinkle some oatmeal on the cage floor so that they have something to nibble on. And then I usually also offer a cube or two of the orange cricket chow (the crested geckos might try to eat that though). Water is provided for the crickets and humidity through misting.
