Why are you soaking them to start with??
If you have low humidity you need to fix your husbandry issues.
Soaking will wash away the natural oils that help your snakes shed.

On the rare occasions I've had to bathe my snakes (usually because they became "artistic" with their poop) I've never added Repti-Safe or anything else to the water.

Honestly I haven't soaked any of my snakes in over a year..it's just been freakin hot here in LA lately so I decided to give them some water time

It's always hot in AZ in the summer, but that doesn't change the temperature of where I keep my animals. Where do you keep your animals that you are worried about the outside temps being too hot for them?

I never add stuff to my water either.

I would worry if you're soaking them in a container "half full" of water. Usually you only want the water to be deep enough to soak, not swim.

Generally speaking, they don't need soaking if the enclosure has proper heat and humidity. soaking should be for poop-covered snakes or if you had a lousy shed and need to assist the pieces of shed off the snake.

I agree with the above. My weather doesn't affect my pythons, because they have climate-controlled enclosures.

I keep them in my room in racks..it's not that I was worried it's just really hot lately so my room is in the 90s so they don't really have a cool side lately so I figured I'd give them a little soak..like I mentioned I haven't soaked any of my guys in over a year

Well not exactly half full it was enough to nearly cover their bodies they just kept their head above the water..but when I first put them in they did have their heads under shortly which is why I'm here asking if the un treated water would be harmful
