    Spotted Python Progression
My spotted python had become one of my favorites. Very interesting Snake. It's new enclosure will allow it to burrow and be arborial. The other day when feeding, it burrowed under and snatched the rat up right from under itself!

Got it at 1.5 years, and 30g. And almost 2 months later, finally put on some weight and we're at 44g today.

It's special enclosure will be done this week.

That's a cool snake! Glad to hear that s/he's settling in and growing. I reckon it will keep the pace with that nice enclosure.

I'll see if I can get a video. But it has shown 0 aggression towards me. Very docile, and curious, but not afraid. I will bring my other hand towards it, and instead of being defensive, it will instead come at my other hand just to crawl on.

Most of my balls freak out or are jumpy with other hands in the area.

Relatively, yes. Spotted Pythons will get in the 4-5 ft range and be pretty slender compared to a BP, but this one was pretty undersized from the previous owner, at that age it should be much bigger.

Very cool, my childrens goes through mood swings sometimes he is bitey and other times he is completely calm but always very curious/inquisitive.

I finished the enclosure today. I installed the glass front, and vents on the left and right sides.

I also had some sterilized wood I've had waiting to go in.
