You know, some snakes just like to rearrange the furniture. I have two, and I know there are a few others on BP.net that do as well. I think you're just going to have to let them do it, and put it back once in a while.

Here's something you could try, I used it to make a hide a little taller once and worked pretty good. Take a bowl of water and add in spangium moss so it's fully wet. Now take some out and squeeze water out of it which also at the same time compacts the moss. Pack it around the hide, it will dry pretty hard, if your snake breaks it a little loose just pack in more wet moss. When shedding time comes you can then mist the dry moss to help with humidity in shedding.
