Small scaleless spot on head
I just recently got a four month old female ball python. Overall she seems healthy, I've only fed her once since I got her about a week ago and it took some time for her to settle in, but she ate well. I have noticed, which I think has been there since the day I received her, she has a very small spot on her head where only a few scales a missing. It's not big at all - just a couple scales.
This is my first snake, so I am new to the whole idea, but should this be something I should worry about or only if it increases in size?
Thanks in advance.

I had to wake the poor baby up for this.

Re: Small scaleless spot on head
Scalelessness can sometimes be genetic. In fact, Brian at BHB reptiles has worked on a project to breed a completely scaleless ball python and it all started with a snake that had a similar scaleless area on its head. You might have a very desirable snake if this is what is causing your snakes scalelessness.

Well before you get ahead of yourself... Wait a few sheds to see if it comes back. Sometimes they can pull a scale off when shedding. No biggie
