Ball python heat tape question PLEASE HELP

Hey guys I was wondering if you can answer a question please? I live in P.A and it's about to get cold soon so I want to order some heat tape for my hatchling/juvenile ball python rack cause I live in an older house and it gets very cold in the winter but I don't know what size to get. I was thinking 6 inch because I have and open system on the sides and back but don't want to get to carried away with the heat. I do have an herpstat 1 to control temperature but still unsure and i need to imstall it before the weather brakes. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
