What is my snake doing?

Hi. I have a young ball python who ate Wednesday. I have him out rn and he's been sort of massaging himself especially where it seems his meal has moved to, in the lower area. And I was wondering if he is still digesting? And if this is normal behavior? How long after feeding did you wait to hold him? The general idea in the hobby is to wait at least 48 hrs after feeding to hold a snake outside of doing cage maintenence

I would be willing to bet your going to be cleaning a mess soon.
