    Tub size?
Im building my first rack and have a limit selection of tubs available in my area. I was wondering if a 25 3/4"L x 18 3/8"W x 7 1/2"H 40qt would be large enough for an adult female ball python.

Absolutely. That is plenty big for 99% of all adult bps. Some breeders use 36 qt for adults.

Still will be fine. I have a 41 qt boa rack that will easily house males indefinitely, that are around 5+ feet. My 41 qt tubs are sterilite and 34"x16".

    They could work.
Make sure you buy some extras just in case or pick a size you wont have problems getting in the future.

If you plan on building several racks you can make it work however it will also depend at what size your females will max out, I have many females 3000 grams and up the biggest is 4000 grams and that's a bit tight IMO.

    I keep females under 2500 grams in 23 x 16 footprint

And female above that in 34 x 17.5 foot print
