Grandma our long lived burmese python (I've had her before we were married), was my first large snake that I had the honor of housing and respecting. Today Grandma passed away due to old age. It has been a hard hit as I have grown very attached to her over the years. She did pass away quickly as with some snakes it can take a long while. We knew she wasn't doing well at the beginning of last week, a vet visit didn't provide us much, neither did a fecal or bloodwork. Just that she was elderly. So at least I was geared up for it, but of course it is still hard. I think I'll be numb for a bit. My husband and son are helping me, and I'll tell you I think our cat knows I'm upset. He hasn't left my side. I'm sure she is happy and free where ever she may be. Thank you for letting me share this with you.
    Sincerely
    Rusty

    Thank you,
Sk8er you are more then welcome to ask questions, we always like to help in educating. Grandma actually used to do educatuional shows when it was just me doing them, now Merlin is the key player in the shows (Merlin is our big guy that we sometimes talk about).
    Thanks

Rusty, I'm so sorry to hear of Grandma's passing. Rest assured, she led a comfortable and content life. I'm sure she left this world a happy girl. Rest in peace, Grandma.

    Thank you for everyone's support.
We went to feed Merlin today and he didn't want to eat his yummy rabbit, who knows maybe he is sad about her passing, but then again I am no snake therapist. We have chosen to transfer Merlin to a different cage, and put the "zoo burm" (Still in need of a name), In the large Neodasha Enclosure.
