Hold off feeding for poop reasons?
I'm considering not feeding my BP for a couple of weeks in advance of me being away for 8 days for reasons of a clean cage while I'm gone. He doesn't like it when he poops in his cage and I'll hate it if he's stuck for a week when I'm not able to clean his cage. I usually feed him weekly, but in this scenario he'll not be fed for 3 weeks. Is this ok?

Not feeding him wont guarantee he wont go to the br, they go when they have to go not based on when they eat... snakes can hold poo from a previous feeding for a long time

How about feeding him the day before you leave? I don't think he would digest and poop out his meal in 8 days time. I have the same thing coming up in a couple weeks when I leave for Canada for a weeks fishing but will only miss one meal and they way mine eats and his size I figure missing one meal sure isn't going to hurt him.

That might be a good idea, to feed him right before I leave. A few months ago he stopped eating for 8 weeks and it didn't seem to affect him, so I guess going without for 3 weeks isn't a big deal.

So true, it'll probably poop as soon as OP leaves the house.

Not sure if my advice was very good. Feed mine Tuesday evening and woke up this morning to a massive poop and a full shed as well. At least he got it out of the way before I left so I won't have to worry about it now. Hopefully you'll get lucky as well and he'll go before you leave.
