Petstore or breeder?

I'm from the UK, and the part where I live has little to no breeders. The closest one is an hour to an hour and a half away, and only has pretty expensive morphs. The closest pet shop to me is about 20 minutes away, and has normals for a fair enough price, and they seem to be well looked after, are established f/t feeders etc. Would it be worth the drive to get one from the breeder? Or is there much of a difference?

I will say you have good pet store and bad breeders..... but most of the time it s the contrary and an hour or two away to have plenty of time to someone who will give you professional advices is better for me than listening to a shop assistant willing to sell you a hitting rock which will damage your snake badly

That's what I was thinking. Would it be worth going up to take a look at the breeder's and the conditions before I make a decision?

Definitely see if you can go through to the breeder. I always purchase my animals from breeders as they generally know a lot more about the animals history etc than a petstore. You will quickly figure out though if the breeder is reputable whilst there.

The price of royals has pretty much crashed over here this year so it might be worth looking around more.

Has a big classified section and might have people listed near to you - and will also give you an idea of peoples reputation. ;)
