    Beginner collection
I'm thinking about starting breeding sometime in the future, and I have a few questions about starting my collection. Is five snakes a good place to start? Two males, Three females? Also what are good morphs to start with, I love lighter colored snakes like banana, ivory, albinos, etc, patterns I like: pied, pinstripe, spider. What would you recommend for a begginer collection? I have no experience breeding, I've just done research, so any general breeding info would be appreciated too! I have one shelf right now that can hold maybe 6 6qt and 4 16q tubs, but isn't deep enough for 32 or 41 so I'm going to buy another rack or two for adults. And one more for hatchlings and juveniles. Is that good? Also what are the requirements for an incubator? I was thinking of making my own out of an old freezer but I'm not sure. Thanks for your input,
    Kaia

Ok, honestly, you should start your collection before deciding you want to breed, it's not necessarily an easy process either. Take the time to care for an animal or 2 first. If you feel like it's something you really want to do, go for it. Also Breeding really shouldn't be done for a profit (just a BTW).I also am fascinated by bright colored snakes 😅. I would lean towards pretty much anything with pastel and super pastels (one of my personal favorites). Also, all morphs look better when enchi or fire is added to the mix, it really cleans up all the spots and markings that make the snake appear "dirty". Do your research and have fun 😅👌

thanks! I actually do have one snake and have had them in the past too, guess I should have mentioned that. And I'm with you, I wouldn't be in it for profit at all, just love of the animals and passion for the trade.
