First BP! Looking for input on morph and cage setup...
Hey everyone! First time BP owner here, and I'm hoping I can get some input on two things.

    [Link to pictures below]

    First, Tut's (my BP) morph:

I picked up a male BP from a breeder at a local reptile show and I'm wondering if someone could confirm the morph. It was labeled as a Calico Fire, but poking around google didn't really show images that look like mine, but I could be wrong. Any thoughts? He was said to be a month old, and I weighed him in at about 50 grams.

Secondly, I spent a lot of time researching the most efficient tub setup, and I'm hoping to get some critiques on it, if needed.

    - Plastic 11QT tub
    - ZooMed medium UTH
    - JumpStart thermostat
    - Accurate thermometer/hygrometer
    - I opted to to put the UTH on a board beneath the tub to prevent the plastic from getting too hot

Is the tub the correct size for my BP?
    Are the hides okay?

    Thanks!

That is definitely a fire calico.

As for the set up it is fine for now but keep in mind that they grow and eventually he will need something larger, and larger hides.

Also the heat pad seems to be a little bit too big for the tub you have him in. He needs a hot side and a cool side. The heat pad should only cover 25%-40% of the tubs bottom.

I'm not 100% sure but I think you may have been ripped off, he looks nothing like a Calico Fire but then again, I'm no expert.
As far as the heatmat goes, if you have a thermostat you shouldn't need the board.
I'd actually suggest a slightly smaller UTH so you can get a better temperature gradient.
Your hides look great and the tub is fine
You will have to get bigger everything when he grows, however.

    Hope that helped

Thanks for the input guys... I have the UTH only beneath ~30% of the side of the tub and the temps are okay. Humidity is hovering around 85%, so I need to put a few more holes in.

As the morph...looks like it might be a Calico Fire :)

u don't need to put the UTH beneath those wood board. if u are regulating it with a thermostat (set to the high 80's or low 90's), it won't get too hot to melt the tub. UTH contact with the tub is fine.

    also nice BP!
