Just checking temp/thermostat probe position
Hi all
I've recently seen some posts regarding the fact that probes should be ground level due to this being where the snake spends most of its time.
I initially had both the hot spot thermometer probe and the thermostat probe directly under the CH in my royals viv on top of the warm hide. I worried she'd get too hot if she went up there so set temp at 32.5C
Due to reading the posts as mentioned I've now moved them to ground level in front of her warm hide (please see pictures)

What's everyone's thoughts on this? Do I leave them on the floor or move them back on top of the hide?
Re: Just checking temp/thermostat probe position
Forget I asked! Answered my own question!
Cool end getting too warm so just putting them back on top of hide!!
Thanks anyway xx
Re: Just checking temp/thermostat probe position
You want to figure out a way to attach the thermostat prob so the snake doesn't move it tho

Yes I do need to look at that!!
Staple them to the hide maybe? Bark is thick enough for ends of staples not to stick through!!

Hot glue? Cable clips?

Of course it doesn't help when she decides to lie on top of the hide!! On top of the probes!!! (Rolls eyes!)
