    Should I separate babies?
    Our 2nd clutch is hatching and one of the babies is striking at the others as they go into their shared tub. They are big 81g babies but I don't want the one mean one to hurt the others.

    Yeah man, separate them and give him a tight hide and some cover. The bully of the clutch! Haha! Just kidding. lol:D

    I separate them once they've shed. Then they all go into their own tubs in the hatchling rack.

    This is how I do it, but with a super-defensive baby like the OP describes I would isolate it sooner.

    I separated the defensive one, he is in a tub by himself. It was an 8 egg clutch with large babies so the others are separated between 2 tubs.
    Im hoping the defensive one will calm down, he was striking at me the minute he came out of the egg 😊
