Get your hatchling rack and incubator set up before you put any males with your females.

Breed what you like because you may end up keeping everything you produce.

Ball pythons will breed year round. I will be starting November as my room temperature naturally goes down in the fall and winter. I begin putting females and males together then. Some people do not worry about a cool down period with Ball Pythons but in my research it seems that is when people have most success.

You can definitely start now as long as your ready for it. Incubator, hatchling rack, food and the mind to take care of them. Remember that sometimes ball pythons are born with birth defects so you have to be prepared mentally and also have the money for a vet in case anything goes wrong. A lot of people do not think about that.
