Health Issues with Breeding?

Hi, am considering breeding my female pastel to another pastel, but my main concern is if there are any health problems involved with breeding, laying the clutch or anything else, if there is, please let me know what it is and how to take care of it! Thanks:)

There are a few things to consider starting from the most basic. Make sure the animals are at a healthy weight and age (typically 1500 gram minimum for the female and 3 years old). Of course they should also free of parasites or disease. Proper habitat and husbandry is important. Also, in the event that you do get a clutch of eggs, make sure you have the means of caring for the eggs as well. Whether you're in a location in which you can have the female maternally incubate the eggs or you put them in an incubator is up to you. These are a few considerations to think about. I've been breeding BPs for 5 seasons and have had a lot of fun doing it. Always plan ahead if you do decide to breed them. I'm sure others will have advice based on their experiences as well.
