Need Advice on Racks for Adult Ball Pythons
We are looking at adding some room for our big females. Some are getting close to 2800-3000 grams. I have been shopping online and we want to order a good rack system that will hold our big girls and have room for our girls that are pushing 1500 grams. I built my first rack and it holds 14 32-quart tubs. Can anyone recommend from experience what racks would be best to order and be shipped? We want to have a rack system that will hold 10-12 snakes. I plan on still using my other rack for juvenile balls up to around 1200-1500 grams until I can move them to the new bigger one. We keep all our snakes in a controlled temp room that we keep at about 78 degrees Fahrenheit. I want to find the best deal and quality but not sure if I can get both. Does anyone have any ideas on which racks would be best and not cost an arm and a leg?

    Thanks!!!!!

You need to look into racks with V70 or 41 quarts tubs.

Animal Plastics will make 10 or 12 tubs high if you ask them to and ship to you, all you will have to do is assemble the rack. (I do not recommend the economy line for this size tubs and height as they are too woobly)

C-Serpents will make the rack you need also however anything higher than 5 tubs needs to be picked up from a show as the racks comes fully assembled and with tubs.

ARS and Freedom Breeder are also a great choice.

I have a few Vision racks for babies, sub adult and adult BPs. I've been happy with them.

I was really considering the economy plastics rack. It seemed like such a good deal. Now I am a bit hesitant.

Budget can obviously be a factor, but there is something to be said for a nice quality product. Its generally a one time cost. Completely up to you.

My husband and I built two seven-level melamine racks for the 41-qt tubs. They are heavy but they work well. If you want something lighter weight and easier to move then build three five-level racks and use the top surfaces either for storage or for smaller racks.

Definitely agree. The first rack I built was a fully enclosed 10 level 41 qt rack out of melamine. This thing was a BEAST. During construction it tipped and pinned my hand between it and a work bench. Do yourself a favor and build multiple smaller ones

I have built many racks over the years and They always turn out very nice. That said if I were to factor in my time as cost then I would have easily been better off buying racks. Google ARS racks, they are what I will be upgrading to when I get some cash.
