    Changing enclosures
So my T8 should be here pretty soon and I'm kind of getting nervous about the cage swap. My snake has done so well starting him out in his 10 gallon I kind of hate to throw a monkey wrench in things but then again he's outgrowing it pretty bad and a switch pretty much mandatory asap.
I assume I should handle this just like getting a new snake and once moved over do no handling until he's ate a couple times and acclimatd to his new cage correct? I plan to set up the T8 and run it at least a week and get everything dialed in before introducing him into it.

Different strokes for different folks but I've most often heard that yes after moving them into a new enclosure you should leave them alone for a week and let them acclimate again. I personally do it but I've only had to upgrade one snake so far.

    From a 10 gallon to a T8 is a huge jump.

My advice to you is to order the divider for the T8 and use half of the T8 for now until he gets bigger. That way, it's not such a big jump in size. Additionally, it will be easier for you to clutter it too.

One out of my 4 snakes didn't like switching to my homemade enclosure. He went off feed for a couple months. My other three did just fine. They are all doing fine now.

    Just my experience.
