Nice Young BCI Male for someone in the Tidewater area.
it was feeding nite for monty yesterday and so i went to Petco for a mouse and while i was there i realized that i needed to clean monty's habitat

so i when i got home i took him out and let him slither around abit under my brothers watchful eye while i cleaned his tank

i was going to do a full change of substrate and i had gotten everything out and vaccumed up the peices and scrubed it down when the ohone rang and i got a little carried away and when i got baack instead of putting down new substrte and then putting newspapers on top for feeding i just put the news papers in and the i let monty eat

but now he has no substrate except fro the papers and i cant handle him for another 24 hours

feeling kinda dumb again (why do i keep doing dumb stuff liek this?)

I don't mean to sound rude, but whats the mistake in that? It doesn't sound like you did anything wrong.

    Ohhhh, i get it.

Just take him out real quick and put the substrate in, its not going to kill him to be moved really quick.

One time i had to clean roxys cage but i forgot to before i fed her and i didnt notice the big piece of poo behind her hide until after i put her back.I just ook her out, put her in her container and then when i was done put her back in her cage, no harm done.

I personally find newspaper a better substrate than anything else. Its easy to clean, you dont have to worry about accidental ingestion, and i personally like the look of it. Dont worry about it at all. He'll be fine on the newspaper.

Monty won't mind the newspaper for a day or two ... I pretty sure he/she couldn't care less ... LOL ... all your snake wan't to do right now is curl up in a nice warm hide and digest that meal .... sounds like it's more your hang up than your snakes. :P

    I agree.

Everything else just seems like a hassle.
