Who is right hereDo you see this as swelling?
well, I acquired this BEL exactly one month ago to the day. And at the time I was sent this picture of him,

and he told me that his nose had got discolored from him smearing it in his own poo. When he arrived, that darker section at the snout was a fair amount darker than that picture, so i cleaned him up (which he protested very much) but it was still discolored pinkish, as if he had been rubbing it. Took him to the vet, which i always do for new arrivals, and he told me it looked "maybe a little different, but dont worry". 2 weeks later I notice hes rubbing his face. So i call him back up.

Oh geez im so sorry, i cant seem to get those pics to upload so i took new ones. lets try that again shall we?
called him back up, brought him back in. he says he's "fine", and that the rubbing was him trying to shed. Um no. Ive been keeping snakes the majority of my life. I have 13 ball pythons and I think I know what shedding looks like. He isnt even "in blue".
Anyways, as you can see in the pictures here, his gums arent swollen, and an exam of his mouth does look fine. It looks to me though that something is definitely going on in the snout. It looked swollen between the nose and eye before (although that admittedly looks better this morning), I definitely see some redness/ rawness? and I think there is some discharge coming from the nose. Dont hear any wheez or pop though. Husbandry checks out (its automated but i checked). Anyway. I just really dont think he's "fine". That nose doesnt seem "fine" to me, am I just being paranoid?

No, you are not paranoid. Did the seller see the pictures? Bc he should view these pictures and make a offer to you to help out with another vet visit. The condition of the bp is serious, mainly bc of the location very close and surrounding the airway of the animal. IMO, I would call that vet back and have him reassess the bp. Good luck.

That looks like when my babies have a bad rat bite. But it looks like it got infected. Maybe some antibiotics or f10 and clean him up.
