    Do I need to add protective finish to my wooden snake rack or is it probably good without it? It is made of oak plywood btw.

    I'd recommend it, I just finished a rack and its finished.

    You absolutely do. Other wise the humidity will just root the underside of the shelf. I used polycrilic for all my wooden cages/racks
