    Digestion Time and Handling
This is a pretty simple question: How long do you avoid handling your ball python after it has eaten?

I don't remember where, but I read that they should be left alone for about thirty hours before handling them again. I'd like to know what the rest of you do.

I think a general concensus would be around 48 hours. If it's been that long and I they still have a bulge I will wait another day.

    Mr. Misha
I personally let my snakes digest their food for 1-2 days. It seems like the consensus around the snake community is at least 24 hours. The bigger the meal, the more time you want to give them to digest it. There's no reason to have the snake regurgitate it's meal because you want to play with it.

I like to do between 40-48 hours.

A day or so. If I feed in the morning, she isn't touched until evening the next day at least. If she's still got a bulge or if she's acting fussy, I leave her be.

I don't handle any of my snakes for 48 hours after they've eaten.
