Trying a new design for the gecko enclosure. :)
So now that Ren is out of quarantine I have been wanting to get him into a nice permanent enclosure. It occurred to me yesterday that now that my ball python Shesha has moved up into his 50 gallon adult tank, I have a mid size tank vacant. So yesterday I set my mind to getting it cleaned and set up for him. I saw a post on a forum a while back where someone had installed shelves and ramps in their wood viv to give their gecko climbing areas (which the gecko apparently enjoyed) and I really wanted to figure out a way to do this. Since it is a glass tank it took quite a bit of shopping around, but this is what I have come up with so far. He seems content and I am hoping with a few days to settle in he will start exploring the upper areas. I know he doesn't need more than a ten gallon but I am interested to see if he will use the additional space. I have left his old tank set up as back up in case he winds up disliking the extra space, but I am crossing my fingers that he will be happy in the new set up.

Thanks! He always looks so happy, it is absolutely adorable. Going to see if he eats tonight and I should know after that if the set up is going to be alright for him . :)

    Cute little guy!

Here is my personal take on geko enclosures.
Get yourself an apt. in Hawaii.
Hang some pictures on the walls.
Gekos will dart along the walls, and hide behind a picture, until it is time to make a mad dash to another picture.

...at least that's how the gekos do it on Oahu.
