Anybody ever do that thing when..
..when you decide to skip the gym for the day but then decide you want chili cheese fries for dinner so you make yourself go work out for that reason. Or for any over deliciously delicious high calorie dinner or treat haha. Cus that's happening to me right now. Homemade chili cheese fries yes!!!xx

I would say that about 60% of the reason I compete as a power lifter and strongman is that I get to eat 5,000+ calories a day.

so yes, we are on the same page...

One of the reasons I started powerlifting is no real crazy diets, I just tried a cut and lasted 4 days, then icecream!!!
So yes we are on the same page......in fact I just ate a huge burrito with the thought of carb loading for squat day!!

As a lady who lifts regularly, I can agree with these sentiments! Although 5k calories a day is a but beyond me lol

You had me up until the part about "so you make yourself go workout for that reason".

A lifetime ago I used to spend 3-4 hrs a day in the gym. 40 min of it was pure cardio. All this so I could fill my insatiable appetite for sugar at all three meals and in between.

Lots of pie, cake, ice cream, candy, etc. All day, every day. :rolleye2:

This is went on for about 12 years.

Haha sounds familiar. What were you training for? I have a regional strongman meet next month and I'm trying to pack on as much mass and strength as possible. Love the 3 hour lifts 6 days a week. No cutting for me. Gotta love the bulk eating.

Sunday is my rest day usually. This last sunday I had 5 chorizo breakfast sized burritos, 3 brats, 3 hot dogs, a can of baked beans, 6 eggs, then two takeout chinese entrees for dinner. Add in protein shakes and thats a great way to spend a day eating, haha.

I was taking in so much sugar it took me that much working out to burn it off.

I would go through 2-3 shirts and at least 2 pr of shorts a day as well. This was really a fairly nice club, not just a free weight gym.
