Normal Pastel just out of the egg?
I still haven't gotten around to posting our first and second clutch, but our third clutch has me very curious. I'll post better pictures later, but is this what normal Pastels look like straight out of the egg? I had decent lighting with the flash off.

The pairing was a Pastel Lesser M x Normal F. We've been told that he might be Het. Red Axanthic as well, but we don't know that.

Clutch so far (6 just out of the eggs over the last couple of days - one holdout):

I'm pretty sure there is a Lesser and a Pastel Lesser in there, but I'm confused about the Pastel. Maybe that's just how they look when they first hatch?

Thanks very much for any and all opinions.

It's been a very exciting year, especially being our first year breeding :-) .

    Looks like just a pastel.

Looks like you have a pastel, lesser, lesser pastel and the rest are normals.

Thanks:) . Really interesting to see the difference between the Pastels we own and this hatchling.

Yes, I personally find hatchlings are at their best. As this pastel grows it will become more yellow and brown.

That makes it even cooler to see first hand. It's been a great experience [emoji3] .

(... and here I was worrying it would be hard to pick out any Pastels from normals ;) ).

The last one ended up being a Lesser... I'm pretty happy that all 18 eggs (3 clutches) produced healthy snakes... Next year will be much more interesting (but I wouldn't trade this first year breeding or the results for anything... we learned so much) :-) .
