New to BP, what is mine??
Hello, im a new BP owner, i just so happened across a killer deal for the entire setup and snake and could not pass it up as i have always wanted a snake of my own, specifically a BP.
I've done quite a bit of research on the care of them but am still pretty new to the whole genetics and how to tell what type of BP you have and was wondering if anyone here could help me with what type of BP mine is.
It's a long ways down the road but i would eventually like to try my hand at breeding one day, if all goes well with this guy and my collection eventually grows to the point where i can that is. Since i may try it one day im also curious if he would be a good snake to use as a stud? not sure if thats the term used to snakes but its all i can think of

Theres some old scarring from when a cat had opened his tank and decided he might be fun to tango with. thankfully, no major lasting damage and from what i've been told, it will fade with time after enough sheds.

Both of these were taken just before he started another shed.

Beautiful snake. Welcome to the forums. He looks like a normal to me but I am not an expert at all of the morphs just yet.

Yep - it's a normal ball python. He'll be priceless to you in learning about keeping ball pythons properly He'll be worthless when it comes to breeding though.

He's a beautiful normal! As your collection grows, I think you'll find it much more rewarding to breed morphs. Most breeders practically have to give normals away for free these days. :s

Its a normal, but don't worry about that. They are great too!
