However, you should consider using a different substrate. Wood chips are better suited for keeping snake food than snakes :P

Also, you might want to consider a more enclosed hide. Ball pythons especially like to be touching the hide on all sides. Clay pot saucers work great because they are low to the ground and circular just like a coiled up ball python.

is that a sepperate feeding enclosure becuase i don't see any water and it looks a little small

I would like to recommend, just in case you were thinking of switching substrates, cypriss mulch, It is as cheap or cheaper then pine shavings and much safer in regards to health issues in bps. If you have any questions on substrates feel free to ask.

Also....Newspaper is cheap (free for me) and plus, you can feed on it.

I have chief on aspen but lay down newspaper when I feed him to avoid him eating any of the aspen.
