    Boa Shed Question
    Hi all,

I recently acquired a breeding pair of boas from an expo. The female is +6ft, the male I'd say +5ft. When I got them they were housed together for a week, maybe a little less, because I didn't have a second tank the right size at the time. They have been separated for a couple days to be reintroduced closer to breeding season. They were always curled up together, but I never noticed any locking of tails. I really hadn't noticed any signs of shed, cloudy/opaque eyes and the sorts, but I just came into the room and noticed she had a full shed and had taken the most massive snake poop I have seen until now. I guess my question what my question would be is how often do big boas shed? Because isn't it a little to early for it to be a Post Ovulation Shed? Sorry I'm new to the whole breeding business.

    Thank You! :salute:

It depends on the feeding schedule, humidity and the individual boa. My biggest boas usually shed once every two months or so. But it can be variable.

i would doubt it's a post ovulation shed.
