    Grabbed her up before a car got her. She looked in pretty good shape.

    Took her back yesterday to the woods back behind our subdivision and let her go.

    Nice looking turtle. Glad you saved her!

    I tried to save one crossing a busy 2 lane highway last week. Just as I got a few feet from it a truck came by and smashed it. :(

    I was was really mad at first. Then I gave the person the benefit of doubt that they were trying to avoid me, even though they could have swung wide on the shoulder.

    Found this old guy couple weeks ago at our conservation club. As you can see he had a pretty massive crack in his shell that looked fairly old. Hadn't seemed to have any long term affects on him as he seemed to be doing and looked healthy other than a little old and beat up.
