    First shed
So my boy George wouldn't eat for a number of weeks. Well, he just completed his first shed. I can only assume he'll be a hungry boy now. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07...6a9811f208.jpg

Not only that, he'll look extra purdy too!

Congrats on a good first shed.

For whatever reason he still isn't eating. I've tried everything I can from chicken broth to dipping a bag of mice in hot water to mimic body heat, we haven't handled him in ages and his tank is consistently at 50% humidity and about 85 degrees f. I don't know what to do?

Probably just stressed out from the shedding, I would give him a day or two to relax then try to present something. Have you been trying to feed him every night? I made that mistake early on too and realize now it was causing too much stress in the animal.

I have been trying to feed him once a week. Then he showed signs of shed so I let him be for about 2 weeks and he shed the other night so I tried to feed him yesterday with no results. I'll probably try again this weekend. The store ran out of hoppers at the moment anyways

Well the first week we had him he ate the f/t mouse right away. But hasn't touched one since. Please tell me they have baby rats since he's only 75g I'd hate to intimidate him

Have you heated up the f/t mice with a hair dryer or put it under a heat lamp? My Ginger always preferred her food this way.

I put the mouse in a plastic bag and let that sit in a bowl of hot water for a while till the mouse is warm. Thankfully I think he was just stressed from shedding. He ate yesterday morning and I was one excited Momma!

Are you only trying f/t? Toss a live rat or if you really wanna get him, toss in a mouse hopper. Those are candy to a ball
