my ball is having a bad shed. I went out of town for a week and when I came back today I saw that he shed in several pieces and his head still isn't complete. I hear him hissing and I see him rubbing his head into the reptibark trying to get it off. I raised the humidity today by spraying the glass and bark, adding a wet towel to the mesh top and putting a humid hide right over the heat pad. I also covered the glass side with plastic wrap. It is very foggy in there now but my stupid digital gage only shows 44% which has to be wrong. I tried to take him out and put him in a towel but everytime I grab him he hisses. Should I just wait???

He's gonna need help. I would get a larger waterbowl, and even if he hisses pick him up out of there an maybe give him a soak. Is this his first shed with you? If not, the bad shed is more than likely due to low humidity. Good luck.

yea even if h e hisses pick him up soak him and let him slither through a damp towel so he can get the reamaining skin off which will mostlikely lessen some of the stress
