New snake owner need the best method to remove snake from enclosure

I've owned many lizards and other pets but when it comes to my BP I don't quite yet get his body language and need to know the best way to remove him from his enclosure.
I have had him for about 2 1/2 weeks and have only handled him once. He has feed twice for me and has already gone through a shed. I'm more worried about stressing him out than being bit since I plan on keeping him for a very long time. It's the initial getting him up that I need help with Any info would help....

Just reach in behind and pick him up with confidence... if you think he is a little tense then you can rub him a little bit on the back before picking him up.

Once I get him up a few times this shouldn't be a concern. Thank you for the feed back. I just don't want to get a aggressive snake from handling improperly.

Just don't come at him going towards his face. That'll kind of freak them out. If he's balled up, you can gently just scoop him up; he'll probably relax and uncoil once you've picked him up.

Youtube is def. a help thanks for the link. I'm very excited for my new addition to my family. I love that my 6 year old daughter is into him as much as I am.

The only thing I would add is to wash your hands first, especially is you have furry or feathered pets. You don't want to trigger a feeding mode.

I just reach into the hide and gently rub the side of my snakes, talking to them the entire time - the old "it's just me, come on out and play!"(as if they hear and understand - probably for my own reassurance!) and carefully pick them up from their midsection. I usually have no issues, especially with the ball but the boa can be in a mood, every now and then with a little hiss here and there. Once out the ball is calm but inquisitive whereas the boa is still tentative and sticks close to (attached to) me. I've never been struck and am careful how I approach my snakes but I don't really worry too much about it.

You need to use your Snake whispering technique and ask it nicely to come on out.
