    Yearling Boa
This is my male Boa constrictor, he is 1 year old :) Is that a good size to age ratio ?

So 4 ft for a yearling sounds good, the main thing, he looks healthy.

    Good looking too.

Personally, that is too large for a yearling. My yearlings, and those in the care of several friends of mine who have high end boa collections, tend to be closer to 2.5 feet, feeding on rat pups or adult mice every 10 days. My 2012 female is a little over 4 ft, eating small rat every 14 days, and my 2011 is a bit over 6 ft, 11 lbs, and on XL rat every 2-3 weeks.

While the body condition looks mostly good, boas fed heavily tend to have earlier deaths (around 5 or 6 years) instead of the 20+ years that they are easily capable of living. The health of the animals is more important than getting a snake big quickly.

90CM is 2.9 feet, so it looks like you are at 3.5 feet which is just fine for a yearling male.

My boa (male) was 3.6 feet at 1 year.

Keep an eye on the saddles in the tail area. That's where the fat starts to store if you are overdoing it.

    He looks pretty good there.

    Did he eat recently?

    For comparison,

This is my guy at 1 year old. Actually exactly 1 day before he hit 1 year.

And here, a little before 3 years old and just about 6 feet long.

Marissa is correct in saying that overfeeding is an issue, but you can get length without the sacrifice of a lean body. They all have different rates of growth, and if you didn't feed yours recently, let that thicker area by the tail go down a bit.

Never feed until all signs of the previous meal are gone.

My yearling is about 3 feet long. He's starting to get a little chubby so I cut back to feeding once every 2 weeks.
