Gargoyle
Looking to buy a gargoyle but I've seen so many different descriptions on what makes a gargoyle. Things like green pastel, black lace back, black pastel, cinnamon.... all these random combos.
So, what really makes a gargoyle?
Here's the one I'm looking at. Already put down a deposit.
In his case, he's from a banana enchi pewter bee to a red axanthic female.

Also, if you have a gargoyle, I'd absolutely love to see it!

Looks like a Gargoyle to me. Gargoyles are usually Cinnamon Het Red Axanthics, but can also be Black Pastel Lace Black Back. Lace Black Back, Black Pastel, Het Red Axanthic, Cinnamon, Huffman, and other genes are all part of the same complex. While it is generally accepted that Black Pastel and Cinnamon are different genes, they act in very similar ways most of the time. It is also believed that Lace Black Back and Het Red Axanthic are either two different lines of the same gene (like Lesser and Butter), or two different genes that act very similar (like Cinnamon and Black Pastel).
World of Ball Pythons has both a Cinnamon Het Red Axanthic and a Black Pastel Lace Black Back as a Gargoyle:

The snake you are looking at buying looks real good.

Hey, thanks for all the info! I'm pretty new to this so seeing all those different genes like that had me lost. Makes sense though! I always though lesser and butter were two names for the same thing as well. Lots to learn!
and thanks! I'm buying him from Chun Ku. Great guy, so I had no doubts to the legitimacy - I just realized I had a bit to learn and explore :p

Hey! I just recently put a deposit myself on a gargoyle het albino and a het red het albino. Gargoyle Albinos! Anyway, the gargoyle I am getting is a cinnamon het red and it seem the majority of them are. The one I am getting looks very similar to the one you have pictured, so I am taking a guess that is also what you are getting.

I think we will eventually find out that het red, lace bb, green pastel and possibly lori are all the same gene.
black pastel and cinny are similar but still obviously different gene comparing them and their supers, however being so similar there are going to be many combos where it is hard to impossible to tell which is in there. gargoyle might be one of them.

Re: Gargoyle
Amazing bp. I can't wait to pick up a gargoyle. Take care of that one when you get him.

I should be getting him sometime next week. I'll be sure to update with pics. The breeder was kind enough to let me make a deposit for half the cost, switch him over to f/t for me, then let me pay the rest and have him sent here. I'm excited for him! Really cant wait to see what he'll look like with a little size to him.
