Made the switch to f/t :)
When I first got my ball python, the breeder had been feeding him live mice. I continued to feed him live for a month to make sure he was eating, and indeed he was! Tonight was my first attempt at feeding him f/t, and to my surprise he snatched it up within 3 seconds! Initially I was a little discouraged after reading many posts on expecting refusals when switching, and it taking many refusals to make the switch.

I followed many people's advice and thawed it overnight in the fridge. Threw it in a zip lock bag in hot tap water for 20 minutes to get the internal temp up, then dried it and blast the head for a couple seconds with a heat gun. Grabbed it by the scruff of the neck with a forceps, and he nailed it within 3 seconds! I am so happy :) much easier for me and better for him.

The next challenge is switching to rats, but that's for another day.

I really appreciate this forum and all the advice!
