Kingsnakes in racks
I'm curious about keeping king snakes in a rack system. Can anyone who does this give me details about their rack setup?

I used to keep my kingsnakes in 32 quarts rack, I no longer keep kingsnakes but I still keep other colubrids that way.
The setup is pretty easy rack + tubs + thermostat + substrate + water dishes.
Thermostat prob goes on the middle shelf sandwiched between the heat source and the tub.
I kept mine at 73/74 on the cool side and about 83/84 on the warm side.

Really appreciate the response! Any others who are able to offer input are also greatly appreciated.

Deborah et. al.,
I only own 2 snakes, and am considering moving my 2 year old Ball Python to a 3 tub Adult rack set up ....probably a bit much for my yearling Kingsnake at this time, but eventually I'd probably want to move her to another tub in the same rack, if that wouldn't introduce issues. Is it ok to house Kings and Ball Pythons in the same rack tower (taking care of course not to allow "visits" across tubs) ? I'd likely want to maintain two separate zones with respect to temperatures in the separate tubs if it's doable...Thoughts/issues ?
Thanks

Usually the heat tape in a rack is set up so it all runs at the same temp. I do keep king and milk snakes in a rack, but they have back heat set to 84*F where my ball python racks have belly heat at around 90*F.
