    Meal size
My ball python is about 212 grams and is eating mice. I'm going to a reptile show tomorrow and I want to switch him to rats should I get rat fuzzies or should I get pups?

I'm working on the same thing, although my largest BP is only 169 grams as of yesterday. Been going on the more general rule of "about as big as the snake is round" rather than weighing prey items. There is too much variation where I get them.

He could take down rat pups.

And as someone who managed to recently switched from mice to rats, you might want to keep a mouse around for awhile to scent the rat-not sure how picky your BP is but mine had a short hunger strike until I did this. :)

Rat pups all the way should have no problem with them and move to rat wealings at 350 grams
