A little help 38 gram hatchling
Ok i bought a collection on friday. Long story but it came with a bonus. A hatchling 1 day old cinnamon het desert ghost. It was the only egg to survive. He got from his buddy who temperature issue with the clutch. OK here the issue the little one only weights in at 38 grams. I've read hatchling care and it al set up after it sheds i just wondering what size prey you give it. I know mouse hopper or rat crawler but can she/he handle that size prey or do i need somthing smaller.

Yep, small mouse fuzzy. I have a GHI that had a wrapped cord and hatched out at 30g. He took right to fuzzies and they are a good size for him.

We have a pair of twins that were hatched out at 24g and 32g. We are starting them on pinky mice till they get a little bit bigger. So start the little one out small, and then work from there.

It looks healthy. Wait until it sheds then offer a newborn rat pink (live). Leave it in there for several hours. If it does not eat it, euthanize the pink and assist feed it. You can do it. This female hatched at 17 grams and is thriving. Her first two meals were the limbs of the smallest rat pink. The next two meals she was able to consume a whole rat pink. I had a 32 gram male hatch out last year and he is my best feeder by far now. You can do it.

Waiting till it sheds may be too long. I have a 35g 0.1 Pied that hatched out on 6/1/2015. She is just starting to go into shed today on 7/11/2015, but I have assist fed her small pinks twice already.

Last year we had one twin survive and he was about 40 grams. He ate the first time I offered him a large fuzzy mouse. This year we had to assist feed the two twins that we hatched out in our second clutch. We also have a really small guy to hatch out of a half egg (small boob egg, with the bad part being almost as big as the good part). He just shed and we have been offering him pinky rats (since we don't have any fuzzy mice available yet). Be prepared to assist feed your little one.

Here is a picture of our three little ones with a normal hatchling (all four snakes are from this season, clutches 1, 2, and 3):

The two on the left are the twins that I assist fed last night and this morning. The guy on the right is the one from the half egg. He just shed yesterday. I hope that we'll be able to get a hold of some fuzzy mice for him. The twins hatched out about 35 grams and the other guy is 28 grams.
