    Dumerils
Been thinking about getting a Dumerils, I already have 2 BP's and think I could handle a bigger animal. Plus they're pattern is wicked cool, How big do they get? And as far wise as tempermant how are they?

They get around 6 ft, females are generally larger than the males. :) They will be more girthy than most of the other kinds of boas and I've heard their temperments being compared to that of lap dogs, haha. Mine is a real sweetheart at almost 2 years old. She was pretty snappy as a youngster but has mellowed out really nice. If you look at the other posts on here lately, I know there's been talk about the dumerils as other people have been inquiring on what kind of boas they should get. They are real lookers, I always say she my badass snake because her face looks a lot more intimidating to the cute, soft ball python faces. [emoji14]

They get a little longer than a ball python would, depends if you want a female or male. Pretty calm as adults, mine's just a baby and isn't nippy or shy at all. A good choice for a smaller boa imo and yes their patterns are amazing.

Personally I have seen some pretty big dumerils. Definitely girthy and usually has the calm boa disposition. They do like to bury themselves in the substrate, so might not make the best display animal if that's what youre looking for.

If I go ape on the Aspen substrate with about 3 inches worth, my Red Tail will bury herself for weeks.
