Re: Egg Candling Flashlight
IMO, you could invest in a "stream light" from "galls" online or at your local police uniform and supply store. There are several different models but stream light is a high quality flashlight. That is the best I can offer as far as a tool for candling eggs. :)
Re: Egg Candling Flashlight
Personally I like the old mini mag lights if you can still find them. The are bright enough without being overly bright and the lens is small so you can press it tightly against the egg. Everything is going LED today so not sure about availability. What ever you use just make certain it isn't throwing too much heat. Some of the high end lights that use lithium batteries are extremely bright but burn hot.

My favorite small to medium flashlights are Coast flashlights. They are decent quality and great value for the price! Last time I checked on Amazon, the Coast G10 or G19 were under $10. The G10 is small enough to fit on a keychain or in your pocket. If you watch my candling videos, most of them were made using coast brand flashlights. I've had the G10 on my keychain for over 2 years, I use it often and still haven't had to change the battery yet!

Here's another candling video made during the daytime. Obviously a dark room or candling when dark really helps to see better.

Could you offer up your recommendations for candling flashlights and maybe a trick or two that you've found to work for you that could help a guy out? Thanks!

I use a small LED flashlight I bought off the Snap-On truck at work. It's an LED w/ 53 lumens and has two brightness outputs -

Any comparible flashlight will work just as good
