What to put in a 10 gal tank?
I know its never good to impulse buy ANY reptile. But I am staring at an empty new 10 gal tank that has an under-tank heater attached already, with rheostat, and wondering what I could keep in it. Open to any and all suggestions.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say no more than 10 gallons of liquid would be my guess.

Leos are pretty cool. Maybe garter snake? Some kind of frog?

Axolotl? There was a booth with a bunch of these guys in some crazy colors at the last expo I went to (solid white, grey, black, gold, etc.). Not exactly something you could handle, but if you were considering a frog why not? There's also Kenyan sand boas, could do a scorpion, maybe a pacman frog?

Agreed. I have 2 leopard geckos and a 10 gallon is not enough space for one, in my opinion.

An adult garter really needs a minimum of 20 gal. IMO. They're just so energetic that they need more space than you'd think for an animal that size.

Pacman frogs do well in that size and are super easy to keep.

Something small, maybe put in a soil blend, a bunch of plants and add a dart frog. I've got several mouring geckos in something that's not much larger.
