Hello and Happy Thanksgiving. I'm new to the forum and feel I should introduce myself. So, here goes.

My name is Madelon. I live in the boring town of Dubuque Iowa. I am 15 years old and am new to snakes. I know about them but have never personally owned one. I am however, going to get my first snake. In a few weeks I will be getting a Ball Python. I'm very excited, and although it took my mom some convincing, she's finally agreed.

I love animals and would not be able to live without them. My animals are not pets, they are my children and I would do anything and everything for them. Right now I have 2 cats Nilla & Lexie, 2 cockatiels Sugar & Sammy, 3 rats Cookie, Mo, & Tasha, 1 Flemish Giant Rabbit Murphy, and 1 Eastern Box Turtle Cheesecake. Not to mention one very easily persuaded mom

I'm am a freshman in high school, and work as a cook at Pizza Hut.
Um... that's basicly it. My life is not very interesting.

I look forward to getting to know you all and thank you all in advance for the help you will surely give me. :)

    -Madelon

And so you all know right now. My rats are in NO WAY feeders. Like I said, they are my children and I would never use them as feeders or breed them for feeders. I will be using pre-killed.

If you'd like to see any of my animals, all the pics are here :)

Forgot to mention... I've had a total of 32 rats in my lifetime, they make great pets! To this day I still can't believe how smart those little guys are. It's a shame they only live for three years :( I don't mind frozen rats (which luckily my BP will take no problem) but I don't think I could buy a live rat without keeping it, lol
