    Bruising?
Ok so my snake shed and afterwards I noticed her belly isn't white anymore it's got like purple spots underneath the skin. I ran my fingers against it checking for loose scales and smelled her to check for any odor caused by scale rot. I took her to the vet and he said she looks fine and to just out of precaution put neosporin on the area which I did but the purple coloring is still there. Does anyone have any idea what this is from? The vet said it could have been from a rough shed but I never heard of that and she shed complete as the humidity was spot on.

Pictures would help greatly in this situation. Snakes can for sure bruise for sure, but I would have to see it.

It looked almost like a burn when I viewed the image full-size but it was pretty grainy.

What are you using for heat and how is it regulated?

It could be scale rot. Do you constantly keep the substrate moist?

Only when going into shed she spends 90% of her time in her hides and I do not mist in or under them. What should I do if it is scalerot to treat it? I rubbed neosporin on the area already yesterday should I continue with that?

If its scale rot, you could start giving her antiseptic soaks, 2-3 times a week, And get some chlorhexidine solution for him aswell (sames stuff dentists use for mouth cleaning) Can spray on enclosure aswell to clean/kill bacteria

Do you use newspaper as substrate? If so it appears to be ink stains.
