    Narrowing down a rack system
I'm either going to get the animal plastics 1753 7/14 or the 4 stack CB70 rack.

My goals are to get two more ball pythons and a boa. The ball pythons will be females and I would like to try breeding them. I understand the boa will outgrow both and at that time I will buy a larger cage. I could see myself getting a hog nose snake one day too but who knows.

The 1753 rack gives me the option of using 15 and 32 quart racks which would be great for babies.

    Any guidance?

I'd recommend that your decision comes down to the size of BPs that you're planning on purchasing. Sure, you'll eventually need the CB70 size tubs, but it's typically more difficult to acclimate a young BP to a large tub. You probably won't need an adult tub for at least a year, unless you're planning on purchasing adult BPs.

I was told that adult females sometimes do well in 32 quart tubs. Only issue with getting a 7 tub rack is I will end up with 7 snakes. [emoji33]

The 16 quart tubs would be good for the babies.

32 for an adult female I thought was too small but the larger breeders I'm sure will chime in with their thoughts soon enough. I use Vision 28's for my males and Vision 70's for my females, these I think are equal to 28 quart and 41 quart sterilite tubs.

You certainly don't have to get a 7 tub rack - they can make whatever size you want. If you'd like, I can take a few pictures for fun of some of my bigger females in 32 quart tubs for a size reference. Personally, I move them from that size tub up to the CB70 size at around 1500 grams. Some will fit in the 32s, but certainly not all. :D

Side note - what's wrong with ending up with 7 snakes?!?!?

Yeah I would like to get an idea of how they fit. The boa would probably get a T8 to live in eventually.

Here's a couple quick shots for reference. These are the 32 quart Iris MCB-L tubs that fit in the RBI Iris Sweaterbox Rack. As I said earlier, I typically move them up from this size tub at around 1500 grams. That's the point where they start "flooding the place" when they urinate and can't find a a dry spot to lay without me immediately cleaning up after them. Plus, they start being constantly doubled over. Whether they stay there or not depends on them. If they continue to eat fine, they stay in the larger tubs. If they don't, they get moved back down and I have some extra diligent maintenance for awhile until I try to move them up again down the road. At the moment, I don't have anyone above 1100 grams living in this sized tub.

This first shot is of my 1656 gram 1.0 Bumble Bee:

This is a shot of my 2812 gram gravid 0.1 Enchi:

I was going to get a shot of my 3550 gram 0.1 Spider girl in one of these tubs, but she's paired up right now and I don't want to disturb them. ;)

Here's the shot of my adult female Spider in a 32 qt as I promised. It's pretty comical! :Dhttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/06...4cfa08dd15.jpg
