Ball python not constricting frozen thawed
My 8 month old ignores the mouse when I wiggle it but when I leave it in the tub he just starts swallowing it. Does anyone else have a snake that skips a step?

My spider is particularly lazy about eating. She'll come out when she sees dinner, wait for you to put it down and then arrange it so she can use the back wall of her enclosure to shove it down her throat. No coiling. No striking. Just eating.

Sounds like you have a smart snakey..
Re: Ball python not constricting frozen thawed
Sunday night I moved my BP up from weaned (35g) to small (50g) f/t.
After jiggling and dropping it a couple of times I moved it toward the snake. When it was really close he struck and coiled with mouth on the rat's neck. Couldn't proceed to swallow so he let it go, went inside hide, stuck head out and got a good grip on the rat's head. Then he retracted a bit and I watched as the rat slowly disappeared into the hide.:gj:
