    Concerned About Strange Urates
Hey everyone just wanted to get some opinions on this strange urate I found today. I've never seen one look like this, meaning that black blob area. This came from my Bumblebee ball python Bubo whose been fasting for about 5 months. Just wondering if I should take it to the vet to get some tests on it.

Let me know if the pictures are clear enough, and I'm going to bag up the weird urate (or whatever it is) now just incase.

Looks normal to me... I don't see anything wrong with it.

Have you ever seen one like that? The black jelly area is the only part that concerns me.

P.s just checked your signature and you've got an awesome collection [emoji4]

Actually upon further inspection under better light the part I thought was black is a very very dark green. Not black.

Snake poo can vary. My snakes have had jelly, soft, semi firm, brown, black, green and usually they are all slimy haha. I do find it depends on what you feed them. Change in diet can be a big contributor, even if you fed her a rat but bought from a different supplier. Not everything that looks the same going in, doesn't mean what comes out will.

And thanks. I got addicted haha and plan on breeding. Looking forward for some spieds and clowns.

Thanks for replying by the way :) I know it's late so I appreciate it. I just got a little nervous because he hasn't eaten in 5 months so it was a strange thing to see, especially since he hasn't gone to the bathroom in a while because of his fast. He's still not eating so I was thinking, "is this normal when he hasn't eaten and it's just pee and not poop?" And that sounds great! Two really nice morphs. I can't wait to breed as well [emoji4]
