    My BP bit himself!
He struck real quick for the rat & coiled it up. After he started uncoiling, he somehow got his teeth stuck in himself. He managed to get free after about 5 mins (phew!!)

I offered him the rat again after he got free & this time the strike was barely a strike; very slow & deliberate. He even took his time coiling.

Has anybody else's snake done this before?

He seems fine. Didn't see any free-flowing blood as it was going down th hatch

When my male Burmese was a baby he used to bite into himself regularly while eating. I didn't worry too much about it and all was fine. I can't recall if there was any blood.

Okay, these make me feel a little better. I know I have done some dumb stuff to myself (hit myself in the face while asleep, knee'd myself in the jaw while sitting with my legs tucked up, etc) - if snakes could feel embarrassment, hopefully that's all it would be :) Hope he continues to feed nicely (and maybe with better aim) and that this doesn't hurt his confidence!

I've fallen UP the steps about 15 years ago, & my shin still likes to thank me before it rains to this day![emoji39]

I think he'll be ok, I'm going to watch him closely to make sure the stress of it all doesn't make him regurge. But I figure if it was that bad for him, he wouldn't have taken the rat to begin with

Yep, always seems to be the spider ;)

Side note: I just accidentally punched myself in the face not 10 minutes before reading this thread.
