Late possible (accidental) breeding.
I had a thing for work come up and I had to leave town for a little while, and my mother offered to come over and feed my little collection for me. I agreed, went off and did my work thing and came back to see two of my snakes in the same tub, in what looked to be a full on lock. Tails wrapped, streaks all over paper. I asked my mom why she put them together and she said she was cleaning out a mess so she put the male in the female's tub, and when she was done it looked like they were 'cuddling' so she just left them. Ugh..
This happened right around the 1st. They're both breeding size, I just didn't have any plans to start breeding until next year. Today when I peeked in my girl was laying inverted, and she's never done that before. Do you think it took and I should start getting an incubator set up, or should I wait and see?
I'm also never letting my mom snake-sit again.

XD I have no advice for you, I just wanted to say thanks for the laugh! Hope everything turns out okay!
Re: Late possible (accidental) breeding.
I'm no expert but the only times I've seen snakes laying inverted was when it was almost time for eggs (or if it was a spider with a bad wobble lol) probably wouldn't hurt to get ready. Better safe than sorry I say
Re: Late possible (accidental) breeding.
They will lay inverted while building folicals. If you can swing the money to build/ buy one it wouldn't hurt or you could try to maternal incubation.

I'll probably just build an incubator. I've got time and an old mini fridge I could gut and get set up pretty easy. At least the babies should be pretty LOL. Ivory Queen Bee and Enchi.

Moms never fail to amaze, haha! Get ready for those babies. :snake:
